Welcome Coleen!

Youth Connections would like to welcome our new director, Coleen Smith. Coleen was born and raised in Western Montana. She attended Gonzaga University and Montana State University – Bozeman, majoring in marketing.  After leaving Montana for 15 years she returned to Helena in 1999. She most recently worked for the Montana Chamber of Commerce and was the Program Director for the High School Business Challenge and Workforce 2020 programs. She worked at a law firm for four years before joining the Better Business Bureau in June of 2008. In 2011 she was named the executive director of the Better Business Bureau Education Foundation.

Coleen has two daughters; Meghan attends UM- Western and Morgan attends MSU – Bozeman. Her husband, David is the CEO of the Helena Family YMCA. Coleen is past president of Rotary, Montana Financial Education Coalition, and Helena Chamber Singers. She enjoys singing, golfing, cooking and traveling. We look forward to working with Coleen and are excited about the experience she brings to Youth Connections.
